ABOUT ME

My work as a somatic therapist is rooted in the understanding that distress is held in the body.

I began my journey into holistic therapy in 2016 after losing my best friend to suicide. Witnessing her repeated attempts to seek help, and the ways in which she was met shaped how I understand trauma, overwhelm, and nervous system collapse. It became clear to me that insight alone is often not enough and that many people need support that is more human than clinical.

In sessions I work at a pace led by the nervous system, often slowing things down rather than pushing for insight or emotional release. My focus is on helping clients gradually build a greater sense of safety in their bodies, widen their window of tolerance and develop both tools and understanding that can be integrated into everyday life.

I am deeply committed to my own healing and receive regular somatic therapy. This helps ensure that my personal process does not enter the space with clients and it gives me lived experience about the transformative power of somatic work.

Before retraining I worked in a high-pressure corporate environment, which gave me a strong grounding in clear thinking and practical problem-solving.

I am accredited by the ACCPH and qualified as a Somatic Therapist from the International School of Holistic Healing in January 2025.

I receive regular supervision from my teacher Aimee Rai and this ensures the highest standard of care for my clients. I live in Glasgow with my husband and two children.
